25-year-old Sibel lives with her father and sister in an isolated village in the mountains of Turkey’s Black Sea region. Unable to speak, she communicates through the area’s ancestral whistled language. Rejected by the villagers, she relentlessly searches the surrounding forest for a wolf that has become the object of their fears and fantasies. There she encounters a wounded fugitive who is threatening yet vulnerable, and who is the first person to see her in a new light.
