In the medina of Casablanca, Abla runs a small Moroccan pastry shop from her home, where she lives with her eight-year-old daughter, Warda. Their quiet routine is disrupted when Samia, a young pregnant woman looking for work and a place to stay, knocks on their door. Although Abla is initially reluctant to let a stranger into their lives, Warda quickly becomes attached to Samia. The unexpected encounter brings the two women together and gradually opens a path toward healing, friendship and a new way of facing their lives.
